Laura

Certified Dental Assistant

• Laura grew up in Calgary before moving to Kelowna in 1973. She graduated from Okanagan College in 1981 as a Certified Dental Assistant and has been dedicated to the same dental office since 1982, including the past 6 years working alongside Dr. Burgess. Outside of the office, Laura enjoys cooking, baking, entertaining friends, singing karaoke, and gardening, and she even participated in musical theatre when she was younger. One fun fact about Laura is her love for “bling” if it sparkles, she’ll definitely wear it!
  

Sierra

Certified Dental Assistant

• Sierra was born and raised in Kelowna and graduated from Okanagan College as a Certified Dental Assistant in 2022. She began working with Dr. Burgess that same year and has been a valued member of the team ever since. In her free time, Sierra enjoys playing soccer, competing in archery, going on car rides with friends, and spending quality time with family. One fun fact about Sierra is that she has traveled to Las Vegas five times to compete in the World Championships for archery!
  

Lori

Registered Dental Hygienist

• Lori grew up in Sherwood Park and moved to Kelowna in 1983. That same year, she graduated from University of Alberta as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Lori has been part of this dental practice since 1990, even before Dr. Burgess joined, and has continued working alongside him throughout the past 6 years. When she’s not busy cleaning teeth, Lori loves spending time with her husband, her boys and their spouses, enjoying the outdoors, and caring for her beloved pets. One fun fact about Lori is that her favourite music group is Coldplay!
  

Karen

Registered Dental Hygienist

• Karen graduated from Loma Linda University in 1991 as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She has been working in the same dental office since 2014 and has been part of Dr. Burgess’s team for the past 6 years. Outside of work, Karen loves kayaking, travelling, and exploring new places and experiences. One cool fact about Karen is that she lived in Guyana for 5 years!

  
  

Susan

Registered Dental Hygienist

• Susan grew up in Winnipeg before moving to Kelowna in 2011. She graduated from University of Manitoba in 1982 as a Registered Dental Hygienist. In her free time, Susan enjoys cycling along the rail trail, dining out, and travelling to new places. One fun fact about Susan is that she used to sing opera and was involved with a choir!

   
  
  

Rikki

Registered Dental Hygienist

• Rikki graduated from the Canadian Academy of Dental Health and Community Sciences in 2018, where she earned a spot on the Dean’s List for her academic excellence. She began working for Dr. Burgess in 2021 and has been part of the team ever since. In her free time, Rikki enjoys spending time outdoors on adventurous hikes, hanging out with friends and family, and attending concerts to see her favourite artists perform live. One fun fact about Rikki is that she has over 30 houseplants that, for the most part, she manages to keep thriving!
  

Louise

Receptionist

• Louise grew up in Lethbridge and relocated to Kelowna in 2007. She graduated in 2014 with an Honours Diploma as a Medical Office Assistant and began working for Dr. Burgess in 2019. In her free time, Louise enjoys long walks with her dog, hiking, and searching for the perfect nature photo opportunities, as well as taking advantage of the beautiful wineries and beaches throughout the Okanagan. One fun fact about Louise is that she has been playing soccer in Kelowna for over 6 years!
  

Kim

Receptionist

• Kim grew up in Fort Macleod, Alberta. She began working at Dr. B full time in 2025, but has actually been helping out since 2021, gaining valuable experience along the way. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. Three of her favorite activities are volleyball, hiking, and pickleball, which keep her both social and energized.
